Ed Orgeron's full LSU-Alabama post-game interview

Joe Burrow passed for 393 yards and three touchdowns and No. 1 LSU snapped an eight-game losing streak to No. 2 Alabama with a 46-41 victory Saturday.

The Tigers (9-0, 5-0 Southeastern Conference, No. 2 CFP) are no longer second fiddle in the SEC West, or maybe in the playoff rankings. And Burrow stamped himself as the Heisman Trophy front-runner with a gutty performance when he answered every challenge from ‘Bama.

Here’s the postgame recap:

  1. Agree with everything he said except that his defense is better. They allow a lot of points (30+ vs Vanderbilt? Big games are turning into track meets rather than low scoring pitching duels), so perhaps having a spread offense and scoring quicker seems to keep their defense on the field longer than their offense resulting in a wearing defense. But I’m looking forward to LSU taking on Ohio State for the National Championship. OSU will be the favorite here mainly because there won’t be an answer to Chase Young, and their offense is at least the level of Alabama’s with field and company. So it’s looking like they will be HARDER than Alabama. Kudos on this win.

  2. Sooner fan and alumnus, born and raised, but this is my favorite football coach, period. I love how he doesn't shy away from what LSU is GOING to do as opposed to all this "taking steps"/"have a chance to be successful"/"trending in a positive direction" crap. He doesn't hedge. "We're comin', we're there … won't be the last time we'll beat 'em." Boomer Sooner but great job LSU.

  4. I want this guy to win a National Championship title. He's been screwed over so many times and now it's his time to shine

  5. I'm not a college football guy and not watching the pros much lately either. But, you gotta love the coach of LSU. This guy has a 30" neck, he eats wood chippers for breakfast and should change his name to Oregon! When he has a steak, he eats the steak knives too! He scares Rottweilers! The post game interview was almost as good as the game!!!

  6. They beat us, fair play. I bet we'll see em again in the playoff though. Hopefully we'll have a healthy Tua when that happens. It'll be an even better game next time. RTR

  7. Coach “O’ may have won the game, but he lost the respect of a lot of people. The locker room comments that he made were crude and showed a complete lack of maturity and class. There is no excuse, no matter what the circumstances, for these kind of comments. Some of us were raised to know better, and to treat others with respect and dignity. A man who shows disrespect of this magnitude doesn’t have any business leading young men. Coach “O” owes the staff, the team, the institution, and the fans at Alabama a public apology. If he is any kind of man, he needs to right this wrong. I would not let any child of mine play for a man with this obvious absence of class.

  8. Healthy Tua and Bama would have had 2 additional TD's, LSU may have answered to that but, it would have been a different game if Tua was able to run.

  11. I love Coach Orgeron and there are a lot of us fans that would storm Hell with a water pistol for Coach Orgeron. Coach is a man of his word, he has never lied to us and has done everything and more for LSU that we fans have ask for. Coach O has the biggest heart and loves GOD, family, players, coaching staff, LSU, and fans. For those people that are not from Louisiana, once you establish trust and friendship with a Cajun, you have a friend for life, and their family will accept you as one of their own. It is just a way of life down here. We are truly blessed. Thank you. Go TIGERS !!!

  14. He’s probably been yelling so much he lost his voice. Imma go ahead and check his older interviews. If he sounds the same, we’re gonna have to hire someone to get that rusty nail out of his throat. I’m in Alabama fan but this guy did a good job 👍
